HOW YOU'LL HELP THEM KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
The Unit Load Device (ULD) and Galley Equipment repair technician is responsible for maintenance and repair of over 22,000 Delta ULDs and 60,000 galley items. The technician will repair containers, pallets, carts, carriers, waste bins and oven inserts in accordance with commercial maintenance manuals and certified policies and procedures.
The technician will be safety focused and execute these critical duties and skills:
Promote on-site Delta safety and environmental compliance
Inspect/repair/assemble ULDs (pallets/containers) of various types
Adhere to Component Maintenance Manuals guidance
Inspect/assemble/repair/clean galley equipment items and associated parts (brakes, wheels, handles, panels etc.)
Comply with FAA and company policies and procedures
Perform pallet straightening and galley equipment functional testing
Execute routine and non-routine tasks independently
Maintain clean work area free of debris and well organized
Conduct positive tool control and part accountability
Ensure system security of the electronic recordkeeping system for maintenance actions
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Station Manager/Supervisor
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)
High School Diploma or equivalent
A valid clear driver’s license
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles.
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.
Knowledge of basic maintenance practices surrounding safety and tool control
Ability use to non-powered and powered tools (compressed air/electrical)
Flexibility to stoop, kneel or crouch to perform inspection and repairs
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

Prior ULD repair experience
1 or more years of sheet metal experience
Must be able to self-manage
Effective written and oral skills
